The Believer’s Expectations II

TOPIC: THE BELIEVER’S EXPECTATIONS II

TEXT: 2CORINTHIANS 15:51
Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, (KJV)

Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. Our natural physical bodies as believers cannot be transported into eternity. There is a change that will occur: the truth that we shall not all sleep (not all believers will taste death) but we shall all be changed (the mortal will put on immortality). And this is anchored on certain major event, which is found in the next verse;

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (Verse 52 KJV)

It appear clearer in New living translation; It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have
died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed.

The believer’s bodily transformation is ushered in by the coming of our Lord, which will be herald with blast of sounds and trumpets. This day and happening is referred to as the day of the Lord, it corroborates the transformation of the believers that have died in Christ, been raised with an incorruptible body first, and all others who are alive are changed together, within a twinkling of an eye. We see this account in 1Thessalonians 4:16-17
For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever. (NLT)

It is not a fallacy that believers, either dead or alive will see their savior, Jesus Christ and will also wear the same body as he is. For this is the hope of the man in Christ. Death is swallowed up in victory. The sting of death has been destroyed and victory over the grave is achieved in Jesus, who
is alive forevermore. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Thank you Father. I live with a profound assurance of the life to come, I am glad and rejoice in the God of my salvation, who was raised from the dead, the great shepherd of the sheep through the blood of the everlasting covenant. I will be like him and see him as he is. Amen

The Believer’s Expectations I

TOPIC: THE BELIEVER’S EXPECTATIONS I

TEXT: 1CORINTHIANS 15:50
Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. (KJV)

The believer is one who have been begotten again to a lively hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead (1Peter 1:3). And by this, he is one who do not only believe that Jesus, his Lord and savior is coming again but much more, he lives with the hope that he will see him and look exactly as he is. 1John 3:1-3 revealed the love of God bestowed on the believer and his expectation;

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

The world do not recognize the son of God, the believer, because it failed to recognize Jesus our savior. But the believer is the son of God and when the Lord Jesus will returns, he will see him as he is and be like him. This expectation and hope is alive and firm in the believer.

The believer will be like Jesus, which means that the believer will be changed and bear a new body as of Christ. For this corruptible body must put on incorruption, for Christ’s body is incorruptible. This is the victory of the believer, a life lived eternally.

You as a believer must hold this truth firmly and the instruction in the next verse is your responsibility, it says;

And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. (1John 3:3)

Therefore, the believer isn’t without hope and the reality of the eternity in Christ. Keep your hope alive, for Christ is coming for the saints.

PRAYER

Thank you righteous Father of our Lord Jesus Christ for an inheritance, incorruptible and undefiled reserved in heaven for us. We, who trust in you and are kept by the power of God through faith in Christ Jesus. I live with the reality of Christ Jesus, the soon coming King, now and forevermore. Amen

He is The Temple of God

HIS VOICE DAILY DEVOTIONAL
WEDNESDAY, 20TH APRIL 2022
TOPIC: HE IS THE TEMPLE OF GOD
TEXT: 2CORINTHIANS 6:16
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. (KJV)

The believer is the house of God, the temple of the living God. God dwells in the believer, lives in him. The Godhead resides in the believe.

1John 4:13 established the reality of God’s presence in the believer. He made the believer’s body his temple, it says; Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit. (KJV)

Verse 15 laid the foundation of the believer’s right to God through his confession of faith, it says; Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. (KJV)

Isn’t this beautiful? God dwells in everyone who had confess that Jesus is the Son of God. Which means the confession is not an ordinary words. It is power that saves with the evidence of God taking over the person’s life forever. What are you waiting for? God is willing to dwell in you, be your God and you will become his child. Take hold of this truth and make use of it.

The believer’s body is not his own. He is brought with a price, even with the precious blood of Jesus. Once you believe in the death and resurrection of Christ, you confessed him and become born again, your body takes on another form. It becomes a lively building where God’s presence resides. You won’t be ordinary anymore and no one can lay hands on you suddenly. For you have been possessed by God. Hallelujah!

Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price. So you must honor God with your body. (1Corinthians 6:19-20 NLT)

You need to live life on a different plane from now on. Allow me lead you in the prayer of salvation as you desire that God would dwell in you.

PRAYER

Today, I believe with my heart that Jesus died for my sins, and was raised by the power of God for my justification. I confess Jesus as the Son of God, and by this, I become the temple of the living God. God dwells in me and I in him, I am not my own anymore. For God purchased me from darkness with the price of the precious blood of Jesus. Thank you Lord. Amen

He Is Christ

TOPIC: HE IS CHRIST

TEXT: 2CORINTHIANS 6:15
And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

The believer is also referred to as Christ and the unbeliever Belial. I love the Amplified version, it says; What harmony can there be between Christ and Belial [the devil]? Or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?

Christ simply means the anointed one. So, the believer is anointed: the anointing is the Holy Spirit as established in 1John 2:27 who teaches the believer the truth of God’s word. And we know him who is the Spirit of truth, He is the Holy Ghost, the greater one in the believer.

But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ. (NLT)

Therefore, the believer is not same as one who is yet to believe in the goodnews of peace established in Jesus’ death and resurrection. He is Christ not Belial, he is a believer not an infidel.

The believer is God’s expression of power and might on earth, because it is written that as Christ is, so is the believer in this world. (1John 3:17)
You cannot afford to remain in darkness still. There is the kindness of God towards you, it is a calling in an acceptable time and on the day of salvation. Don’t harden your heart, receive God’s love and grace poured out unto all. Believe in the gospel of truth, be saved and you will become a believer. The saint of God, pure and holy. Join me as I lead you in the prayer of salvation;

PRAYER

Lord Jesus, I believe with my heart that you died for my sins, and rose on the third day, by the power of God, for my justification. With my mouth, I confess Jesus as my Lord and savior. Today, I am born again and I ask that I am filled with the Spirit of God, the token of my inheritance in Christ, and the seal of my salvation in Jesus’ name. Amen. Hallelujah, you are now a believer!

The Believer is Not Unrighteous

TOPIC: THE BELIEVER IS NOT UNRIGHTEOUS

TEXT: 1CORINTHIANS 6:9
Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, (KJV)
Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. (Vs 10)

Unrighteousness is a state of death found in sin. The believer is not only saved from sin, but has been delivered from the wages of sin, which is death. Death and sin has lost their right over the believer. He is one who has received the gift of God which is eternal life through Christ Jesus (Romans 6:23)

Therefore, it is profitable for you to live by the understanding and revelation of who you are, what you have and what you must not allow to find expression in your life as a believer. It is written in Romans 6:22 that you have been made free from sin to live unto God in holiness and righteousness all the days of your life.

But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life. (KJV)

You are not a partaker of unrighteous deeds and works. You have been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and this is now your reality; And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. (1Corinthians 6:11 KJV)

Know this first, that those unrighteous acts are in your dead life of sin but now, you have been washed, you are sanctified (made holy) and have been justified (declared free from guilt and sin) in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of God. You are God’s possession and his righteousness in Christ. Recognize your identity and live in its reality.

The believer is not unrighteous, the kingdom of God is in him by the presence of the Spirit of God in his life.

PRAYER

In the name of Jesus, I know who I am more accurately. I do not partake in the unfruitful works of unrighteousness. I am not in my dead state anymore, I have been made alive and made to reign in Christ Jesus. Heaven is my home and abode, the kingdom of God is in me. Amen
