Wonderful Free Things

HIS VOICE DAILY DEVOTIONAL
SATURDAY, 10TH FEBRUARY 2024
TOPIC: WONDERFUL FREE THINGS

TEXT: 1CORINTHIANS 2:11
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the [Holy] Spirit who is from God, so that we may know and understand the [wonderful] things freely given to us by God. AMPV

The text above established that God gave us his Holy Spirit, who is the Spirit of love that we might know and understand the wonderful things, freely given to us by God. What are these wonderful things that God has freely given to us?
2Peter 1:3 will help us with certain clarity towards the proper answer to this question. Let’s read;
according as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: KJV

The things that are feely given to us by God are all the things that comes only by his divine power. According to the text above, by his divine power God gave us all that pertain to life and godliness. Let’s break this further; the Amplified version will help us, please read.

For His divine power has bestowed on us [absolutely] everything necessary for [a dynamic spiritual] life and godliness, through true and personal knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence. 2 Peter 1:3 AMP

The free things given to us of God by his spirit which we are to know is that which his divine power has bestowed upon us, and they are all that is necessary for you and I to live a dynamic spiritual life and godliness. Therefore, Ephesians 1:3 is accurate. It says God has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Romans 8:32 make more sense; it says, God who spared not his own son but delivered him for you and me, how shall he not with him freely give us all things. Before you think of material things which are part of our benefits in the Lord, however, the message is all that is necessary for you and I to live a dynamic and godly spiritual life. God freely gave us these things (they are all things that you and I need).

The power to live a godly life is the spiritual blessing bestowed upon us in Christ Jesus. And you will agree with me that this divine power is entirely sponsored by the spirit of God, who knows all of God and has been given to you and me. He is the spirit of love, and by the power of God’s love, which is shed abroad in our heart we live a godly life, that expresses the identity of God, who is love. Are you not grateful for this gift of God’s love by his Spirit?

PRAYER

Lord, I am grateful that you have freely given me these gifts that are necessary for my spiritual life here on earth. By your Spirit, you freely gave me your Son, Jesus Christ and with him you have added the strength and grace to live a godly life. I am subject to your counsel, will and power. I live by the strength of love from now and forever in Jesus’ name. Amen

It is shed Abroad in your Heart

HIS VOICE DAILY DEVOTIONAL
SUNDAY, 4TH FEBRUARY 2024
TOPIC: IT IS SHED ABROAD IN YOUR HEART

TEXT: ROMANS 5:5
and hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. KJV

The verse above tells us that God’s kind of Love (Agape) is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. This verse will enable us to answer the question we left off with yesterday. God wants us to possess the same defined love as himself. By the power of the Holy spirit, he abundantly poured in our hearts the agape kind of love, that we will from our heart express his kind of affection, which is benevolent, good, and kind.

Therefore, we have been equipped with the capacity to act like God would in expressing goodness and kindness. Upon this reality, God hath commanded us to love him with all our hearts, soul, and mind; and to love our neighbours as ourselves. I want you to patiently read the Amplified version of 1Corinthians 13:13 again, there is such truth that expresses the identity of Agape. Please read;

And now there remains faith [abiding trust in God and His promises], hope [confident expectation of eternal salvation], love [unselfish love for others growing out of God’s love for me], these three [the choicest graces]; but the greatest of these is love. AMP

Agape is an unselfish love that grows out of God’s love for you. Therefore, because God has expressed his benevolence towards you, you have the capacity to continuously act from this towards others. This understanding backs up the written word of God in 1John 4:7:
Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and everyone that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. KJV.

Everyone that loves knows God. The ability to express goodness and kindness to others is an expression that we must have received and understood Agape. You have the capacity to express the God kind of love that never changes from being good and kind. Which isn’t fickle and is always full of benevolent affection.

The love we seldom project in the world today is far from this. As it is mostly subject to change. It can turn to hatred in the twinkle of an eye. Such love hates, kills, does evil and is ready for revenge. This isn’t Agape. It is selfish love; it is fake and not from the understanding of God’s character and his written word. Child of God, you have got the original in your heart (spirit) as it is abundantly shed inside of you by the Holy Spirit. Acknowledge this truth!

PRAYER

Thank you, father. I have the capacity to love without selfishness, hatred and evil deeds. I can love today and remain loving always. I can be kind today and remain kind always. My love towards others can be consistent and always good. I believe that I have got agape in my spirit man. Lord, help me to consistently affirm this truth about myself in Jesus’ name. Amen

Faith in he Who is in You I

HIS VOICE DAILY DEVOTIONAL
MONDAY, 27TH NOVEMBER 2023
TOPIC: FAITH IN HE WHO IS IN YOU I

TEXT: JOHN 14:16
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; KJV

Your faith as a child of God is based on the truth that there is the Spirit of God that dwells in you. This is not true for many other belief system and religion. But for the Christian faith, salvation hinges on the reality of the Spirit of God that regenerates the heart of a man and bring him to experience God with strong convinction.

Titus 3:3-7 explain the transformation that occur to every man in Christ Jesus. Let’s read; For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; that being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. KJV

However, the participation of the Holy Spirit that saved us as we express our faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus, continues even after salvation. Jesus spoke expressly about the need and greater advantage associated with his death and resurrection to the Holy Spirit. He said, I will give you another comforter that he may abide with you forever. Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not neither knoweth him; but you know him; for he dwells with you, and shall be in you. (John 14:16-17)

The Holy Spirit dwells in you. It’s not a fallacy! It’s an astounding truth that the man who have faith in Jesus must hold true at all times. The Holy Spirit is the gift for the Christian, not for the world. The world cannot receive him, it doesn’t see him nor know him. But you know him, he orchestrated your salvation. He dwells with you as you believe in Jesus and confess him as your Lord and saviour and shall be in you.

The phrase He shall be in you was to the disciples then a future occurrence which took place in Acts chapter two. But for you, who received the love of God and become saved afterwards, the indwelling of the Holy Spirit isn’t a future occurrence. The Holy Spirit has an assignment in your life because you are saved and he’s willing to take you over to the brim for the same reason.

Thus, if you feel empty as a believer, your need is the Holy Spirit. He is with you and in you. You might just need to turn your attention to him and ask that he takes you over completely. Express your faith in his presence as one with the Father and the Son, Jesus Christ.

PRAYER

Thank you Father for the gift of the Holy Spirit. I believe in Jesus, the son of God and I believe in the Holy Spirit, who is one with the Father and the Son. Precious Spirit of God, take me over even as I have faith that you are in me in Jesus’ name. Amen

Godly Character II

HIS VOICE DAILY DEVOTIONAL
FRIDAY,23RD DECEMBER 2022#
TOPIC: GODLY CHARACTER II

TEXT: GALATIANS 5:25
If we [claim to] live by the [Holy] Spirit, we must also walk by the Spirit [with personal integrity, godly character, and moral courage, conduct empowered by the Holy Spirit]. AMPV

It is not enough to be aware that the Holy Spirit resides in you; there is the need to live a life that expresses the manifest presence of his power. The believer is born of the Spirit and live in the Spirit therefore, He must also walk by the Spirit. His life must be consistent with the deeds of the Spirit of God.

A fountain do not produce fresh and salt water the same time. We must live in the light of who we are, learning to yield to the Spirit of God. It is important that you do not take lightly the essence of living a life that is worthy of your calling in Christ Jesus. You must look like what you are without deception.

You are a child of God and it is expected that you live by manifesting the fruits of the Spirit. Love, joy, patience, kindness, gentleness, meekness, goodness, faith and self control. You shouldn’t down play the essence of examining your life in the light of these fruits of the Spirit which you have in you. Therefore, you must walk in the light of each of them because you have the capacity in you.
Do not allow these fruits to be dormant in your life. Read the main text carefully. It says; You should walk by the Spirit with personal integrity, godly character and moral courage: these is made possible as you are empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Therefore, if there is anything you should desire as you walk with the Lord each day, it should be the ability to walk in love, walk in patience, walk in kindness, walk in faith, walk in goodness and to walk in self control. This should be your focus in prayer. Godly character can not be jettison. This is our outward identification as children of God which separate us from the polluted character in the world.

The Spirit of God in you is able to make you walk in Love towards all men. Be empowered by Him daily. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Thank you Father. I become better in my love walk towards others. I do not excuse the necessity of godly character neither do I trivialise the need to live by expressing godly behaviour. I am found in patience, meekness, gentleness, kindness and self control in Jesus’ name. Amen

He Come With Help

HIS VOICE DAILY DEVOTIONAL
MONDAY, 4TH JULY 2022
TOPIC: HE COME WITH HELP

TEXT: PSALMS 46:1
God is our refuge and strength [mighty and impenetrable], A very present and well-proved help in trouble. AMPV

Have you ever experience God’s help before? As he come through for you and take away your shame?

Personally, I have a grounded and everlasting testimony of how the God of heaven came through for me, when I lived in sin, almost becoming a shame to my parent in that I have no caution to my life. I lived recklessly and at the edge of destruction. Right there, in November 2010, My help came. The love of God overwhelmed me and I was saved. And here I am grateful for his help in that he delivered me from the power of darkness and translated me into the Kingdom of his dear son. He was my very present help in trouble.

Many of us can tell of God’s help towards us in salvation. And after he saved us, his help didn’t go on vacation. Specifically, He sent us and gave as a gift, his Holy Spirit as our comforter and helper. We are not alone because we have received the gift of the Holy spirit. Never helpless or stranded. (John 14:16-18)

How He fulfilled his words written in Isaiah 41:10, it says; Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. KJV

Now, we can look to him for future help because he has fulfilled the ultimate help by giving us the Holy Spirit. He truly had uphold us with his right hand of righteousness.
Therefore, you don’t need to fear anything that might come your way. For you have a God whose help has been proven to be sure and steadfast time after time. He is your refuge and strength, one who is mighty and impenetrable. Remember how he wrought his deliverance for his people of old, their experience is for our learning that we through the comfort of the scripture might have hope. (Romans 15:4)

Therefore, your hope for help should not stand in man but in the power of God. Keep your faith in Him alone. He will help you and that right early. He will satisfy you with his mercy early. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Thank you Father. You are my strength and refuge, a very present help in trouble. Therefore, I won’t fear what man can do unto me. For in and with you is my expectation and my heart is kept secured from all fears and failings in your great power. I know whom I have believed, He will never leave me nor forsake me in Jesus’ name. Amen

There is no Male nor Female

HIS VOICE DAILY DEVOTIONAL
FRIDAY, 17TH JUNE 2022
TOPIC: THERE IS NO MALE NOR FEMALE

TEXT: GALATIANS 3:28
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. KJV

For as many have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. (Galatians 3:27 KJV) Therefore, all who have put on Christ are one in Christ.

There is no identity crisis in Christ Jesus. Everyone who have been baptized into Christ (everyone who have confess Jesus as their Lord and Saviour) have put on Christ. When God sees you or look at you, what he sees is Christ. So, it isn’t you that matter, it is Christ. This is a two sword advantage for the believer. The first face, is how God sees you in Christ by which he relate with you and receive you eternally. You can call this the gift of righteousness (Romans 5:17) and the other face or side of the sword is how you are expected to see yourself in Christ Jesus. This is very important as both works together.

God sees you as Christ, do you see youfrself as one who truly has put on Christ? (2Corinthians 5:16) This is where the challenge is for most children of God. The ability to see themselves as God sees them in Christ Jesus. Galatians 3:29 gave us the first description as you should see yourself haven put on Christ; it says:
And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. KJV

You are an heir of the promise God made in Abraham. And we learnt that the promise transcend physical blessing, it is the promise to make him the Father of many nations by calling all the nations through him, which is the promise of the Spirit (Galatians 3:14). Thus, the Holy Spirit is the fulfilment of God’s promise to Abraham. By the outpour of the Holy spirit since the day of Pentecost, many are open to receive this promise, and gift by faith, and are sealed unto eternity as God’s property, his purchased possessions. (Acts 2:38&39, Ephesians 1:13-14)

This also represent the oneness and unity of faith. The Holy Spirit is the identity of all nations who are children of God. There is no child of God that became one without the Holy Spirit. He is the convincter of sin, righteousness and judgement. He is the guide of all who are children of God. The believer life is born by the Spirit, with which he will continue to function by him, and will be translated from mortal to immortality by the power of the Spirit. We have put on Christ, that’s the identity by the Spirit of God.

PRAYER

Thank you Father. I have put on Christ, who is my identity and source of living. I see myself as God sees me in Christ Jesus. One who he saved through the sacrifice of his son, gave his abundant grace and gift of righteousness, justified from all sins and raised to a new life of peace and joy in the Holyghost. Amen

Make Declarations IV

HIS VOICE DAILY DEVOTIONAL
WEDNESDAY, 4TH MAY 2022
TOPIC: MAKE DECLARATIONS IV

TEXT: PSALMS 40:3
He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what he has done and be amazed. They will put their trust in the lord. (NLT)

There is a new song in your spirit towards God. Will you sing it? We can sing with the Spirit and pray with the spirit. We have this induction written in 1Corinthians 14:15, as Apostle Paul explained the benefit of speaking with the spirit and praying with the spirit. It says,

What is the conclusion then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will also pray with the understanding. I will sing with the spirit, and I will also sing with the understanding. (NKJV)

Do well to practice singing with the Spirit as you sing with understanding. Out of the fullness of God’s spirit in you, sing New songs. Don’t stop at one, keep singing, heap verses upon verses, make melody, sing sweet psalms. The word of God in your spirit can be put together as lyrics, add melody and rejoice as you sing.

Make known his words in songs. Declare that God is the only living God, who dwell in light. He has clothed himself with light as with a garment. He rides upon the wings of the wing. He is our Father, who has blessed us in Christ Jesus. Blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ, where we are seated, reigning as kings on earth.

Will you decree the decree that your lot in Christ is maintained? All you do is to serve the Lord God Jehovah, who hold life in breathe. In whom all things consist and are sustained. For he open his hands, all were created and at his beckon, all creature stands still. Hallelujah!

Sing with the spirit and shout for joy. Glory to God!

PRAYER

I have got joy like a river, joy like a river, joy like a river in my soul. Jesus, you are my joy, you give me unending and eternal joy of salvation. I sing and shout your praise, for men will hear and put their trust in you. I rejoice in the Holy Ghost. Amen

Do You Know?

HIS VOICE DAILY DEVOTIONAL
SUNDAY, 24TH APRIL 2022
TOPIC: DO YOU KNOW?

TEXT: 2PETER 3:8
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (KJV)

Do you know that God’s time and calendar is different from ours? He does not count days, time, and actions as we do. Don’t be ignorant that before God, a day can be likened unto a thousand years and a thousand years is like a day. This implies that there is so much we see, and think that God is slow, but before God we are the one who is slow and far behind his workings.

In the same light, God does not weigh action and make judgement as we do. His judgement towards the man who is yet to embrace his plan and purpose is patience, persuasion and love. He erected a medium of preaching to bring every man to receive his mercy and grace. He put together his power to save a man in preaching and faith in death and resurrection of Jesus.

It is written; For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith. (Romans 1:16-17 KJV)

In the gospel of salvation, announced and preach is the power of God to save any man and by this God expresses his righteousness anchored on faith (trust in the death and resurrection of Christ)

The judgement of God is also seen in patience as it is written in 2Peter 3:9, it says; The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. (NLT)

He does not want you to be destroyed but desires that you should repent. Have a changed mind and turn to God, the lover of your soul. For you have an arc enemy, the devil, he hates your soul and desires that you do not embrace salvation. Allow me to lead you to him who love you eternally, pray with me:

PRAYER

Dear Jesus, I come to you today. I believe that you died for my sins and rose again for my justification. I believe in your death, and confess you as my lord and savior. My sins are forgiven and I have eternal life. Pour the gift of your Holy Spirit on me as I rise up a new man in Christ, having eternal life. Amen

He Is Christ

HIS VOICE DAILY DEVOTIONAL
TUESDAY, 19TH APRIL 2022
TOPIC: HE IS CHRIST

TEXT: 2CORINTHIANS 6:15
And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?

The believer is also referred to as Christ and the unbeliever Belial. I love the Amplified version, it says; What harmony can there be between Christ and Belial [the devil]? Or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever?

Christ simply means the anointed one. So, the believer is anointed: the anointing is the Holy Spirit as established in 1John 2:27 who teaches the believer the truth of God’s word. And we know him who is the Spirit of truth, He is the Holy Ghost, the greater one in the believer.

But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don’t need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie. So just as he has taught you, remain in fellowship with Christ. (NLT)

Therefore, the believer is not same as one who is yet to believe in the goodnews of peace established in Jesus’ death and resurrection. He is Christ not Belial, he is a believer not an infidel.

The believer is God’s expression of power and might on earth, because it is written that as Christ is, so is the believer in this world. (1John 3:17)
You cannot afford to remain in darkness still. There is the kindness of God towards you, it is a calling in an acceptable time and on the day of salvation. Don’t harden your heart, receive God’s love and grace poured out unto all. Believe in the gospel of truth, be saved and you will become a believer. The saint of God, pure and holy. Join me as I lead you in the prayer of salvation;

PRAYER

Lord Jesus, I believe with my heart that you died for my sins, and rose on the third day, by the power of God, for my justification. With my mouth, I confess Jesus as my Lord and savior. Today, I am born again and I ask that I am filled with the Spirit of God, the token of my inheritance in Christ, and the seal of my salvation in Jesus’ name. Amen. Hallelujah, you are now a believer!
